Born in Jamaica, I came to the UK when I was four. I'm mixed race and was brought up in Derby successfully by a hard-working single white mother. Straight out of University, I started a small IT services business working with schools, charities and small businesses. I sold it 13 years later, and for the last 15 years have been providing Cyber Security and Risk Management to large and small organisations.

My mission is to create a world of harmony and adventure by being present to this moment, taking the right actions and being a free inspiring example of a man.

My passions are riding fast bikes with the local advanced motorcycling club, and teaching beginners (men and women) the joys, confidence, energy and freedoms of Modern Jive and Ecstatic Awaking dancing.

Why is MKPUK&I Significant to Me?

Late in life, I learnt the benefits of circling up with groups of men. And now I feel both desire and responsibility to share this with my peers and youngers. Being a single man in these changing times, I see the need even more so now than when I became a member. I am a member of my local MKP igroup and participate in an MKP mentoring scheme.

I started my journey with MKP in 2016 in Forres, Scotland (November and very cold). Recently, during a career break, I was privileged to take part in MKP Black initiatives (such as Crossing the road), and for the last few months have been an active member (leader and supporter) of MKPs online Connection Groups.

Why do I want to be a Trustee and what can I offer

I offer skills in communication and risk management, and also have strong information technology and business transformation experience. All of which I think can help the board with a perspective of business development, understanding information risk and technology opportunities. I can also bring the benefits of my own life experiences of being a mixed-race man in a predominately white male business culture.

Through my own experience, I would like to focus on growing MKP through online technologies that comply with privacy and data protection, take account of the risks and seize the opportunities. I see the need and value of MKP's mission for men of all creeds, colours and backgrounds. And this is why I would like to support this MKP as a Trustee.
